Welcome to the MSRC Virgin London Marathon blog

Hi Everyone

This is my first attempt at "blogging" and my second attempt at the London Marathon.

I reckon blogging is a lot easier than running 26.2 miles, for a start, you can blog from the comfort of your chair, no need to be in the cold or wet weather and you can go to the loo whenever you want to without queuing outside a smelly portaloo whilst hoping that the current inhabitant of said portaloo doesn't suffer from the very real ailment of "runners belly".....

Last September, I couldn't run a mile but having built on my training, I can now run 10 miles although I have picked up injuries along the way which are starting to really annoy! To date, I have had runners knee, still got a very swollen ankle and had acupunture on my glutes......ouch!

I work for and am running for the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre, a fantastic charity that provides support, information and advice for anyone affected by MS.

We have 132 runners on the team and hope to raise £250,000 from this year's London Marathon - check out my page here www.justgiving.com/crawfords2012

I'll update the blog on a regular basis and will leave you with this thought....

"Things I Have Learnt Whilst Running"

You cannot run and blow your nose at the same time..........messy!

See you soon
